Tracked Positions
Tracked Positions lists the option positions you saved in the Options Lab and the ones you set to Monitor_AI. It tracks their P&L at live prices and lets you close them when you are done.
Where to find it: left menu → MARKET → Tracked Positions.
The top of the page
Section titled “The top of the page”| Item | What it does |
|---|---|
| Total Open / Closed | How many positions are open and how many you have closed. |
| Total Live P&L | P&L of the open positions at live prices. If some could not be priced it says how many, for example (2 unpriced, 1 expired): the total leaves those out. When the prices are more than two minutes old (outside market hours, for example), an amber as of 15:35 line says when they are from. The date is added when they are from another day. |
| Realized P&L | Total P&L booked on closed positions. |
| Refresh | Reload the list. |
| Settle expired (n) | Appears when some positions have passed their expiry. See Settle expired. |
| Delete (n) | Appears when you tick rows. Deletes all ticked rows. |
| Export CSV | Download the list as a spreadsheet file. |
The tables
Section titled “The tables”Positions are grouped into Strategies, Rule-Based Strategies (positions with rules) and Monitor-AI Strategies. Filter each by All Status, Open or Closed. Click Entry or Live P&L to sort.
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Strategy / Symbol | The name and underlying, with the expiry. |
| Entry | When the position was saved. |
| Strikes | One line per leg: strike and type (CE/PE), its size (for example ×2 lots), and its entry premium → live price. The leg’s expiry is added when the legs have different expiries. |
| Lots | 1 lot or N lots when every leg is the same size, or the ratio of the legs when they differ (for example 1:2), plus the contract’s lot size. |
| E. Price | Entry price: the net premium at entry, per unit. Positive means you received premium (credit); negative means you paid (debit). Under it: the rupee amount for your whole quantity, then spot, the underlying’s price when you saved the position. |
| LTP | The net premium now, with the same sign rule: per unit, then the rupee amount, then spot, the underlying’s live price. Once a position is closed it shows the net premium it was closed at (and no live spot). |
| Max Profit / Max Loss / Breakevens | From the position’s payoff at expiry, worked out exactly at every strike. A calendar (legs on different expiries) shows —: it has no single expiry payoff. |
| Live P&L | The open position’s profit or loss now. |
| Exit / Realized | For closed positions: CLOSED, the booked P&L and the exit time. |
Example: you sold a strangle, 1 lot of 65, for ₹115 of premium: E. Price +115, second line ₹7,475. It now costs ₹80 to buy back: LTP +80, second line ₹5,200. Live P&L is the difference of the rupee lines: 7,475 − 5,200 = ₹2,275 profit. When the legs have different sizes, always use the rupee lines.
A leg without a price shows — unpriced: the app has no live price for it right now. A leg whose contract has expired shows — expired instead. A price marked as a snapshot comes from the last option-chain snapshot, because that symbol is outside the live price feed.
Row actions
Section titled “Row actions”The actions are icons; hover over one to see its name.
| Icon | What it does |
|---|---|
| Payoff | Show the position’s payoff chart and its numbers (Max Profit, Max Loss, PoP%, Breakevens, Θ/day, Net Prem). |
| Edit | Open the position in the Options Lab. Save there becomes Update and changes this record. |
| Clone | Make a copy under a new name. |
| Close position | Book the position as closed at its current live P&L, after you confirm. If the price on screen is two minutes old or more, the server works out a fresh one instead of booking the old figure. If the contract has expired and has no price, you are asked to type the P&L to book. |
| Delete (bin) | Remove the record. For a monitored position it reads Stop monitoring & delete. |
| Alert ▾ | Appears on monitored positions with a note. Opens the latest ⚡ Adjustment Advisory written by the AI monitor. |
Example: the strangle above shows Live P&L ₹2,275. Click Close position and confirm: it moves to Closed, Realized P&L grows by ₹2,275, and Exit / Realized shows CLOSED, ₹2,275 and the time. To try the same idea one strike wider without losing this record, click Clone first, then Edit the copy.
Settle expired
Section titled “Settle expired”An option position that reaches expiry stays open on this page until you settle it.
- Click Settle expired (n). A preview opens. For each expired index option position, the app works out a settlement price from its own one-minute index data. It is the plain average of the index’s one-minute prices from 15:00 to 15:30 on the expiry day (the same window the exchanges use). It is not the exchange’s official figure. Each position shows that price, each leg’s entry → settlement price, and the total.
- Check every figure. You cannot edit them here. If one looks wrong, do not book it: click Cancel, and close that position with Close position and the P&L you know is right.
- Click Book & close n. The positions are booked as closed with those figures. This cannot be undone.
Some positions are listed but cannot be booked, with the reason:
- Stock options are settled by delivery of the shares, not in cash, so there is no figure to work out. Close them with Close position and the realized P&L.
- No expiry was recorded on the legs: a date box appears. Type the expiry date; it is saved, and the position can then be settled.
- Not expired yet, for example a calendar whose far leg is still open.
- No settlement price could be worked out, because fewer than 20 of the 30 minutes from 15:00 to 15:30 have index data.
Example: you sold the 24,100 CE at ₹85 and the 23,900 PE at ₹80, 1 lot of 65, and they expired. NIFTY’s average from 15:00 to 15:30 that day was 24,160, so that is the settlement price. The call settles at 24,160 − 24,100 = ₹60 and the put at ₹0 (NIFTY ended above 23,900). P&L = (85 − 60) × 65 + (80 − 0) × 65 = 1,625 + 5,200 = ₹6,825. The preview shows these figures before you book them.
